Breathtaking Montjuic Magic Fountain

Every performance with a perfect combination ends up with grand feat. The Montjuic Magic fountain is beyond enchantment. It was in May 29, 1929 that the Montjuic Magic Fountain first played designed by Carles Buigas. Though its creation raises doubts and criticisms from those who do not believe in its maker still the creation of the fountain pushed through. More than 3000 workers were hired for the completion of the fountain and they finished it in less than a year.
The Montjuic Magic Fountain is located in Placa Espanya, Green Line, L3 and Red Line, L1 Barcelona Spain. I first saw the colorful pictures of the fountain in the internet and became so enthralled that I went to search on it on youtube and witnessed the most enchanting display of colors, music and water movements. A spectator can not help but say “wow” in its enchantment.
The Montjuic Magic Fountain with the chosen sounds will dance and sway together with the lights. The chosen songs vary from famous singers like Whitney Houston, Mozart and Queen or from soundtrack of popular films such as The Godfather, Jungle Book, Chariots of Fire, Lord of the Rings, Dances with the Wolves, Blade Runner, or the Lion King. Even Disney productions appreciated the magnificence of the fountain that they would add and contribute to the presentation of the fountain; the soundtrack like the Hunchback of Notre Dame, Beauty and the Beast, Pocahontas, Sleeping Beauty, Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, Brother Bear and Jungle Book. The fountain’s choreography is flexible the mix of music from the 80s to m90’ and music from famous singers like Montserrat Caballe and Freddie Mercury also add color to the rhythm of the fountain presentation.
The Montjuic Magic Fountain will perform on Fridays and Saturdays from 7 pm to 9 pm during winter (October to April) and 8 pm to 10 pm during summer (May to September). Admission is free.
