The Two Incredible Places to Visit in Barcelona
Have you been to Barcelona Spain? This fantastic city could be considered as a paradise. There is so much to discover in Barcelona that you should not miss during your escapade here. To begin with, below are the two most popular assets of Barcelona.
The Park Güell. The park was designed by the famous artist Gaudi as his imitation to the English garden cities he so much admired by his patron who was Eusebi Güell (from where the bizarre name of the park was taken). The park was designed for the wealthy but for the public areas as well. Accordingly the original idea of the park was to sold the plots and let the architects designed. But the idea was never brought up, because the area is too far from the city and it is too radical to change. In 1922, the family decided to donate the park to the city. With Gaudi’s incredible imagination, he made a fantasy like park a breathtaking view to witness. Despite the fact that this was destroyed during the Civil War the two gate house remnants was renovated for the Hansel and Gretel opera. Starting here, you could pace forward to the splendid staircase which is ornamented with multicolored battlements; here you can also see the iconic sculpture of lizard through the main marketplace. Today, the Park Güell is already been designated as UNESCO’s World Heritage Site. The peak of the park is marked with the large cross that offers incredible scenery of the city and the glimmering sea beyond.
Palau de la Música Catalana. This striking concert hall was designed as a paean for the Catalan renaixenca as well as the showcase for the most wonderful Modernista workshop. The decoration that surrounds this incredible concert hall is worthy to visit. The vibrant colors and mosaic that it features designated as the members of the Orfeó Català is amazingly awesome. Aside from the fact that this is a concert hall however, Palau de la Música Catalana has been visited not only for its role as a concert hall but because of its stunning façade and architectural designs. Wherever you look, you will be impressed with the concert hall’s fascinating ornaments. Look up and you will discover the ceiling where the hanged inverted bell of stained glass can be seen. While if you walk forward to the back of the stage, the winged horses that seems like flying over the balcony is amazing. This concert hall is one of the must see in Barcelona. There are still many things to discover within this concert hall that you should have to discover it by yourself during your trip here.
